"A great hotel in Den Helder, staff are friensly and helpful. A great gym, small pool, sauna and steam room. Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. The bar has a decentbstock and the food is off good quality, highly recommend a stay."

"Really liked many aspects of this hotel. I was there in the winter for a visit to one of the many yards that calls Makkum home. Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great. Bed and bedding, not so much, the team would need to switch things up for me to sleep well with both feeling dated and bedding not fitting well to the bed. "

"We were very disappointed that the af did not properly explain the property The bathrooms and showers were more than 200ft away from our cottage. There was no running water at all in our cottage, as well as not hot running water in the bathrooms only in the shower. The pathways to the cottages were slippery and not at all well lit The hot tub cover was too big for our hot tub and made it very difficult and dangerous to walk by to the bathroom as well as not well lit. As a result I slip and fell in to the small canal and very badly hurt my knee as well as soaked myself to the bone And with no water or hot water available it made for a very unpleasant event Also it took 3 days to any get Wifi which made it difficult to make any future plans or get in touch with family I just wish the add would have been more forth coming and as seniors we would have found somewhere else to go ."

"Pros: Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, easy parking, good location, lucky to find any accommodation at all as it was the last room available on the island. Cons: We apparently booked a "budget room" although we paid 300 Euros for 2 nights. Toilet and showers were across the corridor and not private. The room was terribly hot and noisy in the morning when early birds packed their cars. "

"Pillow of rubbleised foam lumps, lights so dim you cant see the key board With the lights on, room not serviced on a 2 night stay, breakfast terrible. Builders working from 7am wont be back"
