They didn't speak English if you're American. So hopefully you speak Portuguese. I do so it wasn't a problem. Just remember in Brazil they use their key card to turn the power on to the room as you come into the door on the wall. You stick the key in the slot then the power turns on. For Americans this is different. Just don't forget your key when you leave.
