"This was a very nice hotel. La Confluence is a bit of a dead nieghborhood, but Lyon is easy to get around, and there are a lot of parking options nearby if you drive into the city."

Unfortunately the construction around the hotels leaves only one path in and out via an active construction site with heavy trucks and uneven road surfaces, making it dangerous to get in and out of and damaging any luggage you have coming in.
