"House is in an unusual neighborhood and was very difficult to find because hand-drawn maps were hard to understand and were in French. Owners are absentee landlords living in France and did not communicate on WhatsApp, as I requested. Tried by email, but owner always used French, not my language! No soap, shampoo, napkins, paper towels, condiments, coffee or tea provided. That being said, place was very clean, spacious (could easily handle 6 people) and beautiful, a few km from beautiful beach....

"Licinia and her husband were wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and resolving any issues promptly. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house."

"Nice property and host. Very responsive and friendly. We are a group 11 of three families and everybody loved the holiday. Supermarkets and nice restaurant can be reached by walking. Plenty activities to keep kids busy. You do need to have your own transport for accessing Porto. Thanks for hosting us."

"We had a wonderful time in Silvia's villa! the location is perfectly situated close to the beaches, Porto, and the lovely town of Viana do Castello. The villa itself has everything you could want, a swimming pool, a barbecue area, games for kids, a pool table, and lots of social spaces. We had a chef come and cook a special dinner one of the nights and the kitchen was very well equipped! We loved our time there and will definitely return!"

"This villa is fantastic and very modern. It is very spacious and clean and the kitchen is well equiped. There are many activities both indoor and outdoor with the pool, tennis court and football field and indoor with the combined table for pool and table tennis. We all enjoyed these activities very much, especially the teenagers. We also enjoyed the covered terrace very much. "Eduardo was an amazing host. He kept in contact leading up to our trip and offered directions and suggestions to help us with our travels. The house was amazing and had everything we needed. Our kids were in the pool every day and enjoyed the size of the house and rooms. One of few houses in the area with a pool it was an ideal base for our trips into braga and not too far from the beach in the opposite direction"

"The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. An absolutely perfect setting to gather with friends or family and enjoy leisurely meals while overlooking a beautiful valley. I highly recommend this place and the host. The host is quick to communicate and was a gracious host the five days we were there. Unobtrusive and but helpful. If you get that chance to stay here, do! You won't regret it."

Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. "Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. "It was a great location for our extended family. Miguel provided detailed ideas for areas to explore and we took advantage of a Duoro sunset river cruise that was stunning! The "kids" (11-25) engaged in a ferocious competition including foosball, ping pong and billiards. Swimming pool w salt water was refreshing (though slightly dirty), grounds with multiple fruit trees were fun to explore. "Great location for visiting Porto. Close to important museums and castles. Many dining options close as well as a very complete supermarket. Each unit is fully furnished with bathroom and small kitchen. Would recommend to any travelers to Porto."

"The property more than lived up to expectations. The house is beautiful and the garden / pool area is all you could want for a truly relaxing stay. We loved every minute - it was hard to drag ourselves away to explore. Restaurants and beach are just a 5 minutes walk. Would highly recommend. Communication with the Owners was excellent and check in was so easy."

"Loved the room. Very spacious, nice, and clean. The shower alone was amazing and deserves 5 stars on its own. The staff was very accomodating to my plant-based breakfast request and made sure I had enough food. Our room safe battery died right before our check out and the staff resved the issue in a very professional and fast manner. The area is great too. Would stay here again. "
