A hidden gem, the manor is tucked away on a domain easily overlooked. A beautiful house where we were by chance welcomed by the owner, chocolatier Daniel Mercier, with whom we shared stories and a cup of tea with chocolates. The room was gorgeous, fit for royalty, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Breakfast was top quality, heavy on delicious chocolate of course, well worth the caloric intake! We will be back for sure!

Beautiful House with Pool

We can fully recommend Charnay Plaisance! The main house is beautiful (some renovation work is ongoing but is unobtrusive); our room was very comfortable; breakfast was very good; the swimming pool was fantastic and the welcome we received (from reception staff and from the owner and his wife) was very warm and friendly. We will return!

Beoordeling voor Hotels.com Mooie locatie, maar schiet tekort op cruciale punten We boekten dit hotel specifiek vanwege de beloofde airconditioning, wat essentieel was tijdens de warme dagen van ons verblijf. Helaas werkte de airco niet naar behoren, wat het comfort aanzienlijk beïnvloedde. Het ontbijt was een ander punt van teleurstelling. Er werd enkel een zoet ontbijt aangeboden, bestaande uit chocolade, cake, croissants en jam. Opties zoals kaas, vleeswaren of een gekookt eitje ontbraken volledig. Op onze vraag naar een eitje kregen we te horen dat "de kippen die ochtend geen eieren hadden gelegd", wat natuurlijk geen bevredigend antwoord is. Kortom, hoewel dit hotel er mooi uitziet, schiet het op verschillende vlakken tekort. Vooral de niet-functionerende airco en het zeer beperkte ontbijt waren tegenvallend.

Très mal renseigné par le manager sur l'accès depuis la gare. Visiblement pas son problème. Par contre la jeune femme qui nous a accueilli était absolument charmante (Leontine je crois). Chambre une peu désuète mais lit très confortable. Petit dejeuner très copieux et raffiné.

Un havre de paix

Séjour bref mais mémorable dans ce domaine élégant niché au cœur de la forêt. Le service attentionné a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. Un véritable havre de paix que je recommande vivement !

Séjour merveilleux ! A la base juste en recherche d'un hébergement week end pour un mariage, nous sommes tombés sur cette pépite cachée dans la forêt. Propriétaires et staff incroyables de gentillesses, culture et attentions diverses. Petit déjeuner majestueux. Nous allons revenir pour profiter plus de ce lieu atypique ! Merci à vous.

Wat een prachtige verrassing! Een oud statig huis na een lange oprijlaan. Na een dag in de auto heerlijk gewandeld op het domein en daarna heerlijk gezwommen in het zwembad. De kamer waarin het ontbijt geserveerd wordt is museaal, het ontbijt zelf uitstekend. Er werden bonbons van de eigenaar (chocolatier) bij geserveerd. Jammer dat wij maar een nacht geboekt hadden. De oprijlaan is onverhard en behoorlijk lang. U bent dus niet verdwaald maar aan het juiste adres als u het bos inrijdt.

Magnifique

Endroit merveilleux, chambre grand confort, literie parfaite. Un seul petit bémol, le mini frigo fait un tout petit peu trop de bruit là nuit. Peut être pourrait il être installé dans la salle de bain. Le personnel est très compétant, très gentil très professionnel. La salle du petit déjeuner est une merveille, et le petit déj sucré est parfait. La piscine est très belle. On reviendra...
