"The hotel was great - clean, convenient location and lovely breakfast. However the best aspect of our stay was the wonderful staff! They went out of their way to make our stay extra special and were more than happy to help with any requests we had. Really exceptional service!"

"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. I could chalk this up to the standoff-ish Norwegian personality, but even so, they should think about how they treat guests from outside Norway. "
