The only disappointing part of the stay is that breakfast does not start until 9am, which for us was too late as we needed to get on with the day. "We loved the room that we stayed in. It was recently decorated in greys and pastel pinks. The room felt spacious and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was large with a separate bath and shower. "We agreed with some of the other reviews, that it a bit quirky in parts. Bits are a bit old fashioned, but everything is very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Only real negative was that things that would be easy and cheap to fix were not done, things like squeaking doors and replacing blackened silicone sealant around the bath. "Sarah, the owner, gave fantastic service and made great efforts to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for Lusty Glaze beach (or Newquay beach/town centre), the breakfast was reasonably priced as an extra, and parking was free. The room was basic and a little tired, but given the positives it was good value for money. Wouldn’t have stayed if planning to spend lots of time in the room, but was a great base to explore."
