"We arrived at the railway station in Zermatt quite late and found it dark, to discover a town wide power cut. Staff were very considerate and fortunately the hotel had its own emergency generator. My wife has limited mobility, and whilst she had to make her own way to the third floor, one of the reception staff carried our luggage up for us. Excellent room with view of the Matterhorn, fabulous breakfast, and close proximity to the railway station."

We were tired and hungry- it was difficult to find something to eat as nearly everything had closed. We had booked for 3 nights but to be honest 2 nights would have been plenty of time. "
