One thing to note: in addition to the staircase leading up to the apartment, there are a few steps inside the unit to access the kitchen and master bedroom. Overall, a lovely place to stay while enjoying the magic of Vernazza and Cinque Terre!"

"For our stay in Cinque Terre we chose the town of Vernazza and had an outstanding stay at the Camere Giuliano Basso. Heed the advice and pack lightly, or plan on leaving a portion of your luggage in a luggage storage area near the main office, as there are many steps to get to the room. However, once you are there the climb is very much worth it. The rooms are actually small cottages reconstructed to resemble cottages from medieval times. The interior space consists of a room with a bed, and then a large bathroom area. It was very comfortable, and the setting made it special. Outside the room there was a patio with tables and chairs, from which you could view the picturesque main street of Vernazza, all the way to the ocean beyond. It was a great place to catch a sunset, and to just relax at the end of the day. We would highly recommend Camere Giuliano Basso if you are traveling to Cinque Terre."
