"The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere. "‘This is not a hotel’ is the first thing the hostess told us when she first called. The villa indeed is their own home and this is made very clear during our stay. The hostess treated our kids as a strict schoolteacher and to top it all off at the end of the evening also yelled upstairs that we were playing with the heating, which we were not. "We hebben genoten in villa castel met leuke gastvrouw. We zijn goed verzorgd en de vila was prachtig vanbinnen. Buitenom oogt alles wat vervallen, maar wat een rust en het heeft ook zijn charme. Mooi uitzicht over de vallei en Rhone met zicht op Lyon. Erg genoten. Goede wijn ook."
