Hotel is nice, if a little worn around the edges - our toilet seat was partly broken, we had only one working plug socket and one window lock was broken. Saying that it is in a good location, the bed was comfortable, the staff were nice and it was great fun watching the traffic on the canal out of our window!
Charming and cold AC! Lovely room and fun watching the canal out our windows in the morning. Wonderful location that's not too crowded. Loved the restaurant in our square, so nice that it wasn't overly crowded and touristy.
Great stay! I went in thinking from other reviews that the air conditioner wouldn’t be working, but it worked very well! And the room was beautiful, unique, and had a cute little canal view. There are some stairs, but the employee at the front desk helped us carry our bags up. Helpful staff, great location, great room!
Great quiet location with an amazing view! We loved our room. Wished for a ceiling fan & coffee in the morning. Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Ciao
The location is perfect right in the heart of Venice. The toilets are not clean. the showers dont work well. The sheets are clean.
What I dint like was that I was charged 20 Euros because of late check in. It is not decent to do that esp in Venice where getting around is not easy with luggage and all the stairs.
Positives. The multilingual staff were friendly and eager to please, so with some coaching they managed to get the air conditioning started for night 2, which was a great relief as room temperature for night 1 was 30C (86F). The furnishings were pleasantly antique Venetian.
The location is at a canal intersection which allows for great viewing and operations of the gondolas and water taxis. The recommended sights and eateries were appreciated. The hotel has potential but it has not been well maintained. We appreciated the helpful staff and hope our comments will encourage the property to step up to its reported 3 star rating.
Negatives. It is a 2 story walk-up which was ok for us but should be noted for disabilities. Broken and missing fixtures in the bathroom and a very small shower with some discoloration was disappointing. The safe did not work but the staff provided a key. The central AC chiller had shut down preventing any room cooling for our first hot day and sweaty night.
Advice. From Rialto, there are several bridges with a dozen steps leading to the property, so pack light. There are variable pricing for restaurants near the property. It's busy so make on line reservations for the best spots. Sometimes a day in advance. When heading to the airport, leave way early. The water taxis get jambed up and crowded. You may need to wait. Enjoy Venice!
This place has the most amazing view! We stayed in a canal view room. Air conditioning worked fine and the location was amazing. Best part was the view !!! Wonderful view, great location, friendly staff.
The room wasn’t clear enough and they put two seperate beds together which was incredibly super unconfortable. There wasn’t any proper blanket in the room so I’ve asked to reception about it, apperently the haven’t got any blanket in the whole hotel..?:) So I turned on the AC to heaten up the room a little bit than very bad smell appeared It’s probably the smell of many accumulated dusts inside of it. The location was good tho…
A nice old hotel in the middle of the city. The personal was very nice and helped us with our bags. The room was comfortable

The room itself was clean and the bathroom big enough, but the beds are super uncomfortable. They put two single beds together to create a double bed, so it was already super uncomfortable and also had that gap between them.
We left earlier because we couldn’t stand the beds anymore.
Other than that, location was good, walk distance from everything. Really good restaurant and shops around.
The location is wonderful, although a little hard to find at first. There are so many restaurants and shopping in the heart of Venice. The staff was very nice and even stored our luggage after check out. I would highly recommend this property since it was a reasonable price.
The room was great and clean. Very close all major attractions. Short walk to San Marco Plaza and Rialto Bridge but AC was broken in our room and the heat was unbearable. We had to open the windows at night and did not help much, if anything it let mosquitoes in.
