The Oregon Country Fair, an outgrowth of the counter-culture movement, has been going strong for over 40 years. This non-profit, 3 day, festival features hundreds of entertainers and performers, artisans and gourmet food vendors. There are magical surprises at every corner, a lively parade that roams around the grounds several times a day, and plenty of shade and secret coves to take a nice respite from the ongoing festivities. Event goers are encouraged to come in costume, but both costumes and face/body paint are available by vendors inside the Fair. Really you are encouraged to come as you are or whoever you wish to be. Toplessness is allowed and various forms of nudity are often witnessed. I've partook in some fantastic festivals all over the world, but it's true what they say, there's no place like home...The Oregon Country Fair, or simply "Fair," is truly world class. What a beautiful, wild, and fun weekend with the kindest, most loving weirdos you'll ever meet! "The Oregon Country Fair creates events and experiences that nourish the spirit, explore living artfully and authentically on Earth, and transform culture in magical, joyous and healthy ways." Held annually every 2nd weekend of July, Fri-Sun. It's best to camp in one of the nearby campsites: Darling Reunion (The Wild One), Carefree Farms (The Calm One).

This is no OK hotel it’s not horrible and it’s not great. The theme is fun. Some of the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade or even just a good cleaning you can see, especially with all the dark furniture and wood paneling when the light hits it, you can see that it’s there’s lots of stains ...
