"The views are incredible. I loved looking out onto the river in all directions and at night the moon light shimmered on the water. I enjoyed watching the tow boats and barges, people kayaking, and the wildlife. I saw a pelican - how cool was that. The hosts were awesome too, with friendly and informative communication."

"My wife, daughter, dog and I had a wonderful stay at this farmhouse. It was clean, well kept, and exactly as advertised. Our 1yr old daughter loved all the animals around the farm, and our dog loved the big yard to run around in. Very close to both Starved Rock and Matthiessen, easy driving distance to both.Can't recommend this place enough. "

"Pretty good place to stay for a short stay. The location is good. Good communication with host. Pros: Fast internet, comfortable mattress, Amazon Fire, plenty of towels, good size family room with large couch, keurig coffee. Some things to watch out for: Although the mattress was comfortable, it was on a very noisy metal bed frame which could make it difficult for sensitive sleepers. The kitchen is really only meant to make small, simple meals. The fridge was the size of one you would find in a hotel room. No stove/oven, but there is an electric griddle and a portable single element stove. Not a lot of kitchen utensils and pots/pans, but plenty of dishes and silverware."
