Varese Ligure is a village developed around its "Borgo Rotondo" (round village) built in the Middle Age for defense purposes. Its historical center is very well preserved and the area abounds of historical sites and monuments. Varese Ligure was the first european village to be certified in compliance with ISO 14001 (environmental management system). It's included in the "Borghi piu' belli d'Italia" association (Most beautiful villages of Italy) and was rewarded by the Orange Flag by the italian Touring Club.

"The location is lovely and quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything in the hotel was great, and we especially appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. "Love this hotel and Chivari. Food at hotel is great, lots of options to walk to near by as well. Staff is friendly, rooms are beautiful and very clean. The pool area is very nice, there is also paid parking available on site, which is great. "
