Great secluded location and beautiful view .. I love this resort .. everything about it .. I will definetly return here again. Make sure you have a rental car if you want to drive around to explore the area .. this resort is only 13 minutes from La Paz Garden and Water Falls and 1 hr from the airport. You can get taxi or Uber to get here and go around

The lodge is beautiful, and an impressive piece of architecture. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and food is very good. There's a pool table and game room downstairs in the lodge, which we definitely took advantage of with the weather turned against us. The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. Note that when you turn off the main road you drive past quite odiferous cow sheds and through a pasture...just have faith and keep driving to the lodge. The actual rooms appear to be the old bunkhouse, so they're a bit odd; the rooms are functional for the most part, but ceilings are quite low and the bathroom is sort of an elongated closet, so they have a weird feel. The walls are thin, but the other guests are quiet, so it all works out fine. WiFi is good in the rooms. No AC, but the elevation is high enough that we didn't need it. Good launching point to visit Poas Volcano early in the morning. We would stay again.

Our stay at Poas Volcano Lodge was absolutely magical! If you are looking for peace, harmony, and a true connection with nature, this is the perfect place. The architectural and design choices are incredibly stylish and tasteful, yet the lodge feels completely cozy and like a home away from home. The interior design strikes a perfect balance between eco-friendly aesthetics and European comfort. Our room was comfortable with a breathtaking view. The heated blankets were an absolute lifesaver and a brilliant touch for the chilly mountain nights! The breakfasts were delicious, and the common areas had such a warm, inviting atmosphere in the evening. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who cherishes tranquility, comfort, and quiet beauty. I loved this place. Definitely an authentic, beautiful, relaxing place to stay. The beds and linens are the comfiest I have ever had at a hotel, and I had an excellent night sleep both nights. The architecture and design of the building is just stunning. We have a large room with three beds and it was perfect for our family. Very close to Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Starbucks Farm. The breakfast that is included in the stay is superb. We also had dinner and it was quite nice as well. I would happily stay here again.
