"The location and staff for this hotel were very good. After touring the entire city it became clear that this hotel is in the best location. The staff was always very helpful. We had one tour scheduled to start early in the AM so the staff was eager to prepare a breakfast for us to eat in our room as their breakfast time did not start until 8:30. "The hotel can not be reached by car(Uber) as they have to stop as the end of the road it’s a pedestrian road, so you have to take your cases down the end of the road which was fine for us but if you are less mobile this hotel would not be good for you as it has no lift. The benefits outweigh the positives , great views from rooftop bar and restaurant; very clean and staff friendly. I would suggest you use Uber , it’s easy and a lot cheaper than the hotel booking you a taxis to the cruise port. "

"Very cozy hostel. Location is really good. It’s safe. And has great kitchen area for cooking your own food. Also has a bar available. Rooms are well kept and showers and bathrooms are in abundance and always kept clean. Staff are very very helpful and friendly. Wifi is really good here. Great place for backpackers"

"It was away from city center and therefore quiet, especially on the back deck overlooking the city. We had a streetside room so opening the window in the morning was not a good idea. The staff was very helpful."

"Nice hostel, very clean, and I like the emphasis on sustainability. The folks running the hostel were very nice and keen to help out at all times. The location on Avenida Brasil was fine, about a 15 minute walk to Cerro Concepcion/Cerro Alegre (where you'll probably spend most of your time) - that said, there are several other options that are located closer to that area. Simple breakfast of toast and fruits was included."

"The hotel has apparently changed ownership and is undergoing renovations. I onky found this out when i arrived at the hotel having prepaid 2 nights."

"I liked our room with the view of the harbor. It could have been cleaner. Our room had toilet paper, liquid soap, and two towels. There were no cups, glasses, tissues, hand towels, washcloths, shampoo, or lotion. No USB ports. Talk about sparse! Good thing it was only one night and inexpensive."

"This a lovely old building with original antique furniture. Breakfast is served on the deck with a fantistic view of the harbor."

"Cheap. Dirty. Bed full of ants. Good location. This is a step up from a hostel. Location is good for historical district. Room is dirty (e.g., little white specs on the bathroom walls from other people’s tooth brushing - ewwww!). Staff are OK. Tiny ants everywhere. In the bed. Biting."
