"The apartment hotel is a new building in a suburban residential area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good restaurant called Brothers nearby which serves gyros and other Greek meals and is frequented by locals. There is a mini mart and a couple of bakeries as well on the same street. There is ample street parking so it is a good location for those renting vehicles to explore Crete. We visited Knossos and Matala Beach but did not have time to visit the Old Town of Heraklion. "This is a beautiful property. Immaculately kept with beautiful pools and shaded areas. The staff are delightful especially at the restaurant. The check in process is a bit lengthy and officious but fine. Some of the rooms are near the cleaners store and we awoken at 8am with the cleaner banging around. The rooms are well appointed but the pillows are hard. Around the pool there is a smell of the kebab grill which rather detracts from its idyllic nature. They need better ventilation for the...

"While quite run down as others have mentioned, it was still a good value for the $. While they do have AC there is a governor on it and it does not go lower than 25. In the hot summer days this is not that cool. The pool was great, though the slide does not have water running down it so it's not functional. "Such a welcome! The people running this hotel are very friendly. I visited end of October with my 10y daughter. She could play in the kids club twice a day (except Wednesday) and has a little kids disco in the evening. There isn’t much to do in the resort so this is a ‘quiet, relaxing holiday’ the beach area behind the hotel was lovely. If you want any ‘life’ Heraklion is 15min cab away for €14 with lots of shops and restaurants. I loved this holiday. "
