"My husband and I travel a ton and this place is one of the best we've ever stayed at. Not only is it a very unique and beautiful property, the staff and customer service were as good as it gets. We were greeted with a mimosa and some sweet bread and we were provided a picnic basket breakfast in bed that was superb. We were so impressed. "Where do we start. This was a fabulous hotel. Everything we expected and hoped for. Sonia looked after us from the moment we arrived and we could not have wished for a better host. If you want a modern hotel with square rooms and satellite TV, this is not the place for you. Keeping the style of its initial build 100 years ago makes this place very special from the opulence of the residents lounge, the ship like dining room and the rooms which are old but well cared for. We were fortunate to have a room facing the river with large balcony doors and air conditioning. The breakfast was exceptional. We dropped one star on the amenities only because it would have been nice to have a bar. To be fair there is an honesty bar but its not the same. Deserves all 5 stars overall and we re already looking at dates to return."
