Very spacious apartment of 125 m² on two levels in a Chalet, facing South in the old village of Val d'Isère. You reach the slopes 50 meters away and the shops 200 meters away. Quiet and very well located, you will have an excellent stay there. We are here to welcome you and to help you make your vacation a success in Winter and Summer.

Great apartment in the heart of Val d'Isère

The apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay (7 adults). A perfect location at the foot of the slopes and next to several shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Really helpful and prompt communication with Etienne both before and during our stay. Thank you Etienne!

Good location, clean and comfortable, but not big enough for 9 people (we had just 2 adults and 3 children). Could do with a little updating too, but we enjoyed our stay.

Great self catered chalet in Val d'Isere

A group of 6 os us rented this chalet for a week in Jan 2013. The chalet is in a fabulous location - 5 -10min walk to the ski lifts or you can take the bus which stops right outside the chalet. Etienne who took our booking was very helpful and accurately described the chalet which is decorated to a very high standard. The rooms are all good sizes and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. I would highly recommend this chalet to groups looking for a self catered rental close to the slopes, shops, bars and restaurants in Val D'Isere.

Fabulous chalet in perfect location with everything we needed

Thank you again Etienne for a wonderful stay in your beautiful chalet over Christmas! Next to the bus stop and walking distance to the slopes made everything so easy! Walking distance to the shops and grocery stores! The chalet was nice and clean, we had everything we needed! The wifi worked perfectly and so did the TV Etinne was always so helpfull and very quick to respond when I asked him loads of questions! We would live to return to this beatiful chalet Ilse middleton

Wonderful Chalet in a perfect location

This is the second time that we have stayed at Ancolie. It is a lovely, spacious chalet that has been beautifully decorated and is extremely well equipped with everything that is needed for a self-catering ski holiday. We really love the location, next to the bus stop and just seconds to walk to the nursery slopes and yet also convenient for the shops in the centre of Val. Etienne is very quick to reply to my emails and has been very helpful in answering questions. Hopefully, we will be back again next season!

Val d'Isere Central Appartment

This apartment is fantastically located for the lifts. You can ride back to the front door at the end the day. A great sized property with great facilites and very comfortable. The location cannot be bettered with the use of secure underground parking that is literally under the block. The flat looks out over the nursery and lift stations so ideal for family or friends. Everything was close by such as lift pass, rental bars cafe's. Clean, fresh linen, TV, DVD, well equipped kitchen made the stay home from home. We are re booking and highly recommend.

Gorgeous Chalet in Great Location

This is the second time that we have rented Chalet Ancolie. It is so conveniently located for the bus and nursery slopes, as well as accessing all the shops in town. We enjoy being on the edge of Val d'Isere's old town, because it is so peaceful. The chalet is warm, clean, beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything that we needed to ensure a comfortable stay. It is spacious and the photos and description on the website give an accurate impression of the chalet. Etienne is a great host and very prompt at replying to emails and any questions that I have asked. I look forward to the next time!

Well appointed spacious accommodation.

Pros. Accurate description. Spacious - even with 8 adults! Comfortable. Clean. Nicely decorated. Good kitchen. Good bathrooms. Off road car parking. Quiet location. Bus stops outside. SPAR 5 minutes walk. The owner Etienne was friendly and quick to answer emails. Cons The refundable deposit procedure was not explained at time of booking but was not a problem in the end. :-) The main gripe is that none of us could make the WiFi work. It would have been 5 stars otherwise. I would happily go back again or recommend to a friend or relative. :-)

Basement potential death-trap ; unscrupulous owner

The apartment is split into two levels - ground floor with living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The other two bedrooms and bathroom are in the basement, which is reached by a narrow winding staircase. Under suitability, the owner advertises "suitable for elderly or infirm wheelchair accessible" - this is a stretch to say the least!! There are no windows in any of the rooms in the basement, and since these rooms can only be accessed by the narrow winding staircase, there is no other means of escape in the event of a fire. The rooms downstairs are a potential death trap, and there was some debate when we arrived which family in our group would stay down there. It would certainly NOT be legal to rent out this property in the UK. The owner deducted an outrageous cleaning fee from the deposit - making out it was impossible to remove a yoghurt stain that we hadn't noticed from one of the cushions on the sofa - which we found highly dubious. He also accused us of damage we didn't do i.e. chipping glassware… We have rented properties through HomeAway on a number of occasions and this is the first time an owner has ever ripped us off like this. We have informed HomeAway about this issue. Certainly not recommended.

Insanitary

This is a two bedroom apartment with a basement that is unfit for habitation. There is no natural light to the bedrooms in the basement and no ventilation of any form. Access to the basement is via a very narrow, winding staircase with no alternative means of escape in the event of fire. The basement bathroom floods with foul water that apparently comes from another apartment in the block, presumably their bath or shower water - disgusting. Whilst the apartment doesn’t look great in the photos, in reality it is grim. The fixtures, fittings and furniture are old and shabby and any essential maintenance work has been carried out at minimal cost, if at all. The key to the entrance door was difficult to use such that their own cleaner was unable to lock up after cleaning, leaving the apartment open. The hot water mixer tap in the main bathroom sticks if turned to hot putting you in grave danger of being scolded. The tap itself is operated by a screw. One of three stools in the sitting area had no squab support and my husband fell thro’ it when using it for the first time. We booked this apartment for three weeks in January. The basement bathroom started flooding after the first week, apparently when an apartment above became occupied. We informed Etienne who sent his maintenance guy around. It seemed Etienne knew about the problem as it had flooded last year but he’d done nothing about it. When it flooded we had friends staying with us but the basement wasn’t fit to be occupied as the flood water was foul water. I asked Etienne for a refund so we could find alternative accommodation but he refused. He said he’d send a plumber round to investigate but no one came. The flooding continued sporadically so I asked Etienne what he proposed to do. Again he said he’d investigate and contact the owners syndicate. I meant what did he propose to do about us staying there in insanitary conditions. He had no regard for our wellbeing. In the end we found alternative accommodation and left after just less than two weeks. Etienne didn't seem to notice we’d left so presumably no one went to investigate or remedy the problem. We never met Etienne but had various communications and miscommunications with him over a number of issues during our stay, not least the flooding. We found him to be surly, rude and difficult, much like his replies to negative reviews. The issues were never remedied and he was in denial that they even existed.

L'été au chalet Ancolie c'est très bien

Chalet idéalement placé à Val d'isère, tout est accessible à pied. L'accueil et le suivi réalisé par Jason ont été parfaits. Le logement est propre et l'espace de vie très agréable et conforme au descriptif de location . Les démarches auprès de Monsieur GERON ont été simples et claires. Nous sommes tous satisfaits de notre séjour. Merci

Le rapport qualite prix de cette propriété est médiocre ; ce n'est pas un très bel appartement !

Cet appartement est propose pour 8 personnes . Il y a 4 chambres dont deux sans fenêtre en sous sol avec 3 lits dans une des deux qui est minuscule , sans chevet, sans lampe, sans meme une patère... Passons au salon, 4 personnes peuvent s'assoir sur un canapé, les autres s'installeront sur des tabourets ou des chaises ; toujours dans le salon,il y a le casier a skis qui se resume a un tapis , a cote d'un meuble ouvert pour poser les chaussures de ski qui ne sécheront pas puisqu'il fait assez frais dans l'appartement, 19 degrés d'après le propriétaire ce qui d'après lui est largement suffisant, justifiant qu'un des deux radiateurs de la pièce principale soit hors service. Pour parfaire la deco du salon, le seau et le balai qui n'ont aucune autre place. Tant-pis, on est en vacances, alors on boit un coup dans des verres fendus sur une table basse recouverte comme la table principale d'une nappe elle meme recouverte d'un plastique transparent très élégant !!!! Les mugs sont tout ébrèches, nous sommes allés acheter un broc pour faire office de théière car il n'y en a pas . Le lave vaisselle a été remplace pendant notre séjour , très rapidement je dois dire, et sans surprise car le premier était au bout de sa vie !!! Le sanybroyeur des toilettes de la partie souterraine a été réparé également pendant notre sejour car a notre arrivée il faisait un bruit épouvantable contre indiquant formellement un usage nocturne !!! La serrure est capricieuse comme dit le propriétaire; ainsi nous avons du la démonter complètement deux fois, empruntant un tourne vis a L'UCPA voisin. La clé se coince et on ne peut meme plus l'enlever . Heureusement, certains sont bricoleurs et aiment s'entrainer pendant les vacances. Plus jamais !!!! Cette propriete est excessivement chère pour les prestations proposées et mal entretenue.

Très agréable et très bien situé

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour d'une semaine dans cet appartement. Il est très spacieux et bien équipé. Les couchages sont de qualité et les salles de bains très belles. La situation est idéale : au calme à quelques pas du centre ville et tout proche des pistes. Nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine !
