"Great place with amazing views! Elena, the owner, was lovely but doesn't speak English. We managed with a few words each, a bit of sign language and a lot of Google translate. Rooms are perhaps unusual in decor but very comfortable and lots of choice for breakfast - particularly good omelette cooked freshly by Elena. Good tavernas within walking distance. Fabulous walking with the menalon trail. Very quiet and peaceful. And did I mention the views!"

"This quiet getaway was really a great location to get the feel of a countryside Greek town. Skies were beautiful at night with minimal light pollution. Staff and townsfolk were friendly and helpful if any needs were identified. Breakfast was HUGE, got to enjoy many delicious options and take away a few pastries for later in the day. "A new hotel which has just opened in Kalavryta. The condition of the hotel reflected how new it was. There is quite an amusing lift arrangement where you go up in one lift and then back down in another. When not carrying luggage, best to walk around. The owner didn’t speak much English, but really made us welcome!! He was kind enough to open breakfast early a couple of mornings so we could eat before we went out. This was a continental style affair. We didn’t eat an evening meal or drink in the hotel, we went into town instead. The only criticism was the design of the bathroom. This is a wet room with shower, toilet and basin. We found the shower drained slowly and the floor doesn’t prevent water seeping under the door into the bathroom. There is no method to stop this water getting into the bedroom."
