"Sitia is a wonderful town, 2hrs drive east of Heraklion. The villa is really great - very spacious, views are amazing, high up looking over the whole Sitia bay. Lovely pool area, cleaned daily (by a really friendly Ukrainian!). Some lovely beaches but best probably 25-30 min drive east (but worth it). The beaches are much quieter than the other beaches you find the nearer you go to Heraklion. Plenty of shops and markets in Sitia, and all over in smaller surrounding towns also. The people were all so friendly. The views of Crete are amazing just driving east to Palekastro. Some of the smaller roads in land offer the most amazing views and places to see but these roads can at times be more like tracks, so be aware! Host was really helpful - very proactive helping with arrival, welcome and walk through of the Villa. plenty of communication, really good English speaking, and also helped recommend and book restaurant reservations. Accommodated 9 very comfortably. A great villa in a beautiful part of Crete."

"We stayed at Villa Manika at the beginning of July and had a wonderful time. The villa is a short drive to Sitia with shops, a beautiful harbour and lots of cafes and restaurants. We had a hire car but got a taxi a few times in the evening which was 8 Euros each way. The villa was very spacious, clean and well equipped, we also liked that it was laid out on one level. The pool was beautiful, it was a great size and the water temperature was perfect. Upon making our reservation Despina and Pantelis sent us emails with some suggestions on places to visit and restaurant recommendations which was very helpful. One suggestion would be that a welcome pack is provided with some essentials such as milk and bread etc, we had a very long journey so it would of been nice not to have to go to the supermarket immediately upon arrival. The only thing we felt that could be improved upon is an upgrade to the outdoor furniture and unfortunately the large parasol by the pool had a base which was unable to support it when the wind picked up and it kept getting blown over which could be dangerous. We noticed around the harbour area that the restaurants have their parasol bases bolted in the ground which might be a good idea. We very much enjoyed our stay here and it was a great base for exploring the eastern part of Crete. We would definitely stay at Villa Manika again when visiting this beautiful unspoilt part of the island. Thank you Pantelis and Despina for a wonderful stay."

"Super place to stay near the beach with fantastic views of the bay. Rooms very practical and clean, bed very comfortable. Poool and bar pretty great place to relax after day windsurfing. Wish we had stayed longer, very good value, will be back next year."

"We were able to use this lovely hotel as a base to explore Vai Beach and surrounding areas, then Ierapetra the next day. One thing I really like about the hotel is that they let you check in as early as noon, and not leave until noon. The patio facing the water was very nice. Many people were sitting outside enjoying the sound of the waves and the breeze. "
