"People were absolutely awesome at the Good Place B&B. I felt so welcomed during my entire stay, from checking in to check in out and every breakfast in between, which were great and delicious by the way. A great place to spend a few days away in nature, but a close drive to many historic locations and natural attractions in the area. The rooms amenities could use some improvement (new towels and linen come to mind). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. "

"Pluses: Staff courteous. Room comfortable. Beds fine. Mixing Faucet not properly attached to the sink. So it was not easy to use. Second night no hot water. We thought we should receive some discount accommodation for the inconvenience of cold showers. But they deferred to Hotels.com for that consideration. If that is not offered through the app we are not likely to use it again."

"At first, before I spent any time there, I spoke to a wonderful lady on the phone and she helped me make the room arrangements for my stay. Every other time I called the hotel I spoke with someone I could not understand. He had a very very thick accent. I'm usually pretty good with accents but his was just too thick. Then, I tried to change my arrangements through Expedia. But Expedia said they had to do it through the hotel. So they tried to call, but no one answered. When we finally got a hold of the hotel, the hotel said they couldn't do anything, Expedia had to do it. And sounds the merry-go-round I went. The manager of the hotel said that he would put a note in the account for the change and he told me what the price changed was and I agreed. Then, when I got there, I told the desk agent about the change and the price and everything. He said he knew, yet he charged my debit card the original amount for the stay!! Then when he got to the fourth room he was like, "oh, your card was declined." I was like, "how much are you charging my card??!! We had an arrangement!" Then when I spoke to the manager that made the arrangement with me he said that it was just an executive hold and the money would go back in my account as soon as the bank releases the money. So basically, the manager did not abide by there arrangements we made."

"The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The pictures representing the hotel however, were misleading. They made the rooms, lobby, pool, and breakfast area appear considerably larger than they were. For a bargain price, I would have been satisfied, however, for the exorbitant price we paid, I expected more."

"Paid a premium for 2 nights (at over $300+ per night). Check in was at 4 pm, and room wasn’t ready until 5:45 pm. Front desk said they were understaffed. Got to room and it wasn’t clean - bathroom had all sorts of hair and huge crumbs on floor. Toilet barely flushed. Shower curtain was filthy and moldy. Vanity storage shelf had dirt all over. A dresser drawer had tons of food and items still in it (chips, loaf of bread, pills)! The upstairs hallway which is all outdoors was so gross. Definitely needed to be vacuumed and cleaned. We left after the first night. Too gross to stay there. Would not return."

"Front desk would not help my wife correct the reservation to her name. Instead, they denied her to check in and made zero attempt to help her contact Hotels.com to resolve. My wife (Princess) had me find another property and the same issue almost occurred again. There’s a situation when making a reservation on the Hotels site where if you leave the reservations page before booking and come back, the name of the guest reverts back to the site manager (me…Blake) instead of my wife. (Princess). I realized this after making the second reservation and called the property before she arrived. Fortunately at the Wingate, the front desk allowed the name change back to Princess. I want a refund for $145 or I’m done with Hotels. "
