"After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled. Our room had all the amenities we needed with a nice balcony ..."

"Beautiful clean property just as described. Close to the beach/ wildlife, supermarket, and restaurants. The little pool in the back was perfect for a cool dip on hot days. Kitchen included everything we needed to cook at home. Would definitely recommend and stay again on a future visit."

The ballena area is dispersed semi-rural with lots of areas to walk. A half km or so from the hotel is a strip of restaurants and souvenir on the road leading to the entrance to the National Park. The town center is 1.5 km distant.

No food delivery you have to go out or order take out at the place, some let you order ahead but you still pick it up. The national park has 4 entrances, ask your tour guides which one to go to because waze will take you to chaman/colonia

I honestly did not do enough research about Uvita before arriving. It is a safe and relaxing little town where you can find all your needs. I found gift shops a little overpriced. There are some nice restaurants and bars around.
