"We had a lovely stay here. Stunning views from the cottage and was all very cosy and well-equipped. Great walks nearby and a pub within walking distance. We used the fire in the living room but it doesn't draw very well, so the room got very smoky (but might be my fire-making skills not being up to scratch!). Not the easiest to get to, especially if you have a large car. You'll need the directions, as it's really tucked away."

"The property was immaculate and well equipped. The host, Jane was extremely friendly and helpful. A quiet peaceful spot with chickens and sheep wondering around on the common land outside the enclosed garden. My only criticism is that the staircase was steep and difficult for me but it didn’t spoil our stay. I shall recommend to friends."

"Had an enjoyable short break at the Maple Lodge. Hosts were very friendly including the cats and dogs. Lodge was cozy, clean and had all the amenities you need. Bed was comfortable and slept well after all the walking and trekking. WiFi was intermittent and could probably do with a boost but it did not ruin our stay as we were out exploring the surrounding area most of the day. "The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. Beautiful location completely spoilt by the classic/abandoned cars in the front garden making it unsafe for children and dogs. Field next door is similarly blighted. "Lovely stay at the bungalow. Three friends on a singing weekend nearby. It was very well equipped, clean and peaceful. A drainer rack for the sink would be useful and the mattresses were a little ‘tired’. Nevertheless it was great for us and we would stay there again."

The fire in the lounge was a lovely focal point throughout the time we were there and we would love to return in summer when we could use the pool. "The apartment itself was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with little to no outside noise to disrupt sleep. Reception isn’t open on weekends but there was great communication from staff giving me information of how to access anything I needed. It’s a walkable distance into the town centre, Castle and Cardiff Central station, therefore offering places nearby to get any food, shopping etc. "

"Overall the property was in a great location.Flat was everything that you needed. Pity however that it was missing just a few little touches. A small bottle of milk would not have gone amiss. No salt and pepper. The TV remote control needs to be replaced. Control buttons not working . Could not get any BBC channels on free view . All small problems . The entry instructions were great and very clear. "
