"Our host called earlier in the day to confirm our arrival and review check in procedures during hours and after. When we arrived we were offered a free upgrade as availability allowed and our host gave us a tour of the home and dining options. Our room was cozy and comfortable. This property has a beautiful sitting area surrounded by windows… a lovely spot. Our host was welcoming and warm and was happy to chat and answer our questions. A lovely place to stay while in Dildo."

"Accommodation was clean, quiet & had a comfy bed. Extra bonus is that we had free access to a washer & dryer. Free assorted wrapped muffins were great in the morning to grab & go!"

"Upon entry to the Inn you are greated with a well cared for historic feeling space. It is well appointed and well decorated. Snacks and coffee are available most of the day and the breakfast we hardy and excellent. Staff is friendly and courteous. Couldn't have asked for a better experience."

"The neighborhood you'll find very quickly is the warmest you've ever seen. Head up to mad rock cafe for breakfast (fish cakes & toutons) then hike the trail from the cafe to mad rock. The property is extremely relaxed & lovely. I would have loved to see the basics added to their kitchen (like oil, salt, and vinegar). As well don't forget your shampoo and conditioner - there is none on the property."

"Easy check-in. Owners were welcoming and helpful. They gave us many suggestions for hiking and things to see and do on the eastern side of the island and gave us an understanding of Newfoundland history. Breakfast had some fabulous choices and always cooked to our specifications. The home is a historic site and, as such, has windows that do not close out the road noise but that is easily forgotten with an earplug or the white noise of a fan. Would highly recommend. "

"We stayed here last year on Friday night of the Labour day weekend as well. Great place...very quiet, out of the way of the main roads and highways. We have stayed in two different units and both were extremely clean, even clean smelling. Kudos to the housekeeper (we met her last year but I forget her name). The owners are also super nice and friendly. We have two kids, age 4 and 9 and found the place to be very spacious and inviting. Hoping to make this a yearly tradition of staying here Friday night and heading to St. John's the following morning for back to school shopping. Would recommend Comerford's to anyone. "
