Catherine was an amazing host with great communication prior to our visit, friendly and also being extremely accommodating in allowing us to check in earlier etc so we could change prior to attending a wedding locally. The room had everything you could wish for and the breakfast was brilliant. We only wish we could have spent more time there! We would definitely stay again and also recommend to others."

"Our host was easy to message and replied straight away. The whole house was very clean. There was a dog cage available and throws on the sofa, I always take and use my own. The stair gate was a boon to stop little ones or dogs from going up. Our family aged between 67 & 90 and we used it as a base to explore the area.The stairs are quite steep and my mother found it hard going up due to her age and the bathroom is upstairs. There is a small back yard but lovely walks almost on doorstep."

"Both the evening meal and breakfast were only just warm which was disappointing. Room 1 was a good size but would have preferred a shower enclosure rather than a shower over the bath. Overall our stay served its purpose as an overnight stay en route to our destination, it was adequate but no more."

"The owner was extremely helpful and responsive and the location was perfect. The walled garden was perfect for family to gather on warm days. However, although it’s advertised as sleeping 16, it doesn’t have the living space for 16, either to eat or gather. Other staff at the property were very accommodating and we loved the sustainable aspect of everything in the house. "
