"The challenge was our arrival, nowhere did it say that check in was at the Dragoner Hotel across the road. Once we figured that out we went from: what did we get ourselves into, to a well done up room. The bathroom was a bit cramped but overall for the price we paid we had a very nice room. Consider having dinner at the Dragoner! Good food, good price. "

"The room was just about "OK". The surcharge for double occupancy over single occupancy for a double room was unreasonably high. Finally, when we informed the hotel three days in advance that we would NOT be having breakfast on our last morning, they still insisted on charging us for two breakfast, which was very upsetting."

"Alpenhotel Allgau has a good location in Schwangau, close to the Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Museum of the Bavarian kings. The rooms were small and the beds were rather hard. The breakfast was a essentially a continental breakfast of rolls and coffee. The signage is poor and the entrance is hard to spot. Check in was easy but checkout was difficult because their credit card processing machine didn't work and had to be re-started.I wouldn't stay there again but rather will plan...

"We stayed in this property just for 2 nights, but got amazingly lucky in that when midnight hit on NYE, we were treated to a birds eye view of what felt like everyone in Garmisch-Partenkirchen shooting up fireworks all around us. From the balcony we sat as a family and took it all in. What a fun surprise! The property is right on the historic walking and shopping street. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything was clean, modern but cozy, and comfortable."

"We had a great stay. The apartment was exactly as described. We left the windows open for the cool night air and we slept well through the night. The town was very quiet when we visited (June, before school break), but it was just the quiet lovely space that we wanted. "The apartment was conveniently located for our visiting purposes. The apartment was surprisingly large and had all needed appliances except for a washer and dryer. The apartment was extremely clean and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. As far as checking in, if my son did not live in the area to retrieve the key before 7pm, I don't know how I would have gotten the key with the long trip I had had for the day. "2nd time staying here, very convenient to all in the area. Breakfast is wonderful. If there is one thing I would comment on it’s that the shower/tub combo is not elderly friendly, it quite scary climbing in and out of it. "
