"The challenge was our arrival, nowhere did it say that check in was at the Dragoner Hotel across the road. Once we figured that out we went from: what did we get ourselves into, to a well done up room. The bathroom was a bit cramped but overall for the price we paid we had a very nice room. Consider having dinner at the Dragoner! Good food, good price. "

"The property is rather new so everything is quite clean. The bed was a bit lumpy. The heating was temperamental and shut off in the middle of the night when it was the coldest. They did follow up with me on the second night to assure me they had fixed it, but it still shut off in the middle of the night for the second night in a row. I would still recommend this place because the communal kitchen makes a big difference in comfort and convenience. Just put on a sweater at night as it gets...

"Very cute guest house. I liked our room and it’s terrace, the breakfast was good. The owner was friendly and helpful. Its also very convenient to Zugspitze and Garmisch. Overall a very nice stay."

"Alpenhotel Allgau has a good location in Schwangau, close to the Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Museum of the Bavarian kings. The rooms were small and the beds were rather hard. The breakfast was a essentially a continental breakfast of rolls and coffee. The signage is poor and the entrance is hard to spot. Check in was easy but checkout was difficult because their credit card processing machine didn't work and had to be re-started.I wouldn't stay there again but rather will plan...

"Stayed for a week and split time sightseeing between nearby mountains and Munich. The location worked great for this approach with lots to see and do within a 1 hour drive (we chose to rent a car). The apartment itself is great with a satisfying minimalistic approach that I appreciate, iIt is comfortable and quiet and perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The hosts were top notch with excellent communications and advice/help. Highly recommend."

"We stayed in this property just for 2 nights, but got amazingly lucky in that when midnight hit on NYE, we were treated to a birds eye view of what felt like everyone in Garmisch-Partenkirchen shooting up fireworks all around us. From the balcony we sat as a family and took it all in. What a fun surprise! The property is right on the historic walking and shopping street. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything was clean, modern but cozy, and comfortable."
