Liarvåg is an angler's paradise and you don't even have to go far out on the fjord for the fish to bite. There are also some rocks and jetties from where you can fish. Or you can fish freshwater fish in one of the many lakes in the area. Here you need a fishing license. There are filleting facilities at the pier, so the catch of the day can be prepared right here. It is possible to take part in organized deep sea fishing trips from Haugalandet, if you would like to catch some bigger fish. There are also excellent conditions for water sports, such as diving, sailing and windsurfing. Countless beautiful cycling and hiking trails invite you for outdoor activities. A bike ride from Nedstrand to Vassendvik along Lysevatnet is a great day trip. Find an idyllic swimming spot, have a picnic and enjoy the day- it's balm for the soul. For mountain hiking, you can take a tour to Lammenuten. At the top you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the fjord and the mountain landscape.
