  • Relax in the tranquility of our garden with fragrant rosemary and Arizona blue cypress— cut bouquets and take home with you, During the monsoon season, the pool is 80 degrees. This summer is cooler than in the past years. Tuscan rosemary and cypress. You can easily hike straight into the Joshua Tree National Park, enjoy our three-chamber cave with firepit and picnic carpet, or explore the Valley of the Moon canyons for absolute privacy. Inside, a chef’s kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and a curated library provide luxury and inspiration. The weather is getting cooler, excellent for hiking.

    The 36’ x 20’ saltwater pool is open year-round (best April–October). Evening spa and BBQ terraces overlook boulders and a Joshua tree, perfect for starlit dinners. Wildlife sightings include bighorn sheep, bobcats, and desert hawks. Hike straight into Joshua Tree National Park from our garden.

Dale has created an amazing oasis in the desert. We really enjoyed the pool!! The house is well maintained. He has everything you need. Hiking in the area is exceptional. Stores are close by and several really good restaurants in town. I would highly recommend it for a family vacation spot!!

What a magical experience to stay. Dale is an incredible host whose homestead reflects his artistry and creativity that we were honored to get to stay at, he genuinely wants his guests to have a great time. Come for the pool, stay for the warm atmosphere and the caves and multiple outdoor hang out spots (the hot tub under the stars was a major highlight). Could not recommend more and we will definitely be back next year for our annual visit.

Came with my family for our first visit to Joshua Tree, and this was the perfect home for our trip. Great location close to park entrances, and my kids all loved exploring the rocks and cave in the backyard. The pool and hot tub were clean and helped us relax after our mornings hiking in the sunshine. Definitely recommend and hope to return someday!

Tucked among the boulders just outside of Joshua Tree National Park is this little slice of desert heaven. Float in the pool surrounded by boulders, star gaze from the elevated hot tub, take a short hike right from the property to the National Park boundary line, or simply relax and enjoy Dale's extensive book collection. Regardless of what you choose to do you will not be disappointed. Thank you for sharing your lovely desert retreat with us. We will be back.

Dale's place is a gem in a garden of gems.Upon arrival, Dale took the time to give us the history of the art and decor in the house, which added to our appreciation and enjoyment. It is conveniently located to Joshua Tree National Park, and there are wonderful hikes right in his backyard. The property is simply amazing. Imagine a swimming pool right in front of Skull Rock!We highly recommend a stay in Villa dei Fiori!

If you're a nature lover like us, this property cant be topped! Epic caves, abundant wildlife, and many varieties of cacti are just steps away from the refreshing pool. The house is basic but well appointed - this is all about the location. Definitely the coolest VRBO I have ever stayed in. Dale is very friendly and accommodating as well, highly recommended.

Stayed for 4 days over spring break with 2 teenage boys. The pool was too chilly for swimming, but the spa & grounds were amazing. The boys loved scrambling the rocks & exploring the property. The spa & fire pit were great nighttime activities under the desert stars. The home is clean & well stocked. The owner is very responsive. Location was great. 100% would recommend.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids ages 7 and 9) had a fabulous long weekend at Dale's place! We saw tons of animals right on the property: chuckwallas, fence lizards, a rosy boa, roadrunners, and a quail mom with eight tiny chicks! The location is breathtaking, set right up against a private set of boulders with views out over the desert. Our kids had the best time scrambling on the rocks in the back valley right behind the house each day, and the stars from the hot tub were spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice--thanks so much for sharing this special place!

From the time I booked this VBRO, the host was in contact with me and answered every question in a timely manner. His property is backed up to Joshua Tree with majestic boulders surrounding the back of the property and the pool was very private. He gave us a tour and explained the history of the property and has a wealth a knowledge of the area. My wife and I went for a quiet, anniversary weekend and this place did not disappoint. Very much a desert vibe, quiet, with roadrunners, quail, jack rabbits, lizard's and at night we loved watching the sunset by the pool with a few bats fluttering about eating any flying bugs and getting a sip of water. I hiked the back of his property to hopefully see a big horn sheep but unfortunately, I didn't see any but there are prints and droppings. If you enjoy the desert and love the desert views, expect peace and quiet, multitude or stars at night, and I forgot to say, a very comfortable bed......book this place, you won't regret it! Thanks again, we will be back!

Easily one of the most unique, well situated properties we have stayed at. Beautiful location with a backyard that you have to see to believe! Take a hike right up the boulders in the back yard and then relax in the hot top and pool with amazing views. The house is eclectic and we LOVED it... Dale, the property owner provided an excellent tour of the property at check-in and shared wonderful stories along the way... house is older, but is well equipped and has everything you need for a great stay! Easy access to Joshua Tree, 29 Palms, and both the West and North enterances to Joshua Tree National Park!

This house was more than we could have hoped for. The pictures do not do it justice. Dale is an amazing host and we are grateful he is willing to share this property with others. We saw a kangroo rat, lizards, bats that would come in the evening to drink from the pool. A roadrunner in the front yard and jack rabbits. The rock climbing and the views were spectacular. We would climb the boulders to watch the sunset every evening, then finish out our night in the hot tub. We would eat dinner on the patios. Location was quiet and serene. The outside patios smelled so good he had many rosemary and lavender bushes throughout the proptery. I hope we can return one day. I would also recommend the coffee/cocktail bar down the road Mas o Menos.

Perfect location to reach both park entrances. Outdoor space was amazing with pool set in boulders and walk to remote part of park. Dale was a great host. Will stay here again

Owner takes great pride in his home. Location was excellent. Very unique home. Plenty of towels, linens and books. Kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub was wonderful. We went in winter & the pool is not heated. Would love to stay again in the spring or fall.

My husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway and this was the perfect property! We were greeted by the host Dale who took us on a tour of his home and the surrounding property. It was quickly apparent to us that this home has been a labor of love for Dale. We stayed for two days and spent time enjoying the pool, hot tub, and cave and enjoyed climbing and exploring the boulders on the property. Some of our favorite highlights were sitting at the pool and watching the gorgeous sunset as it reflected off the water then laying out under the stars. We especially loved all the little animal encounters including watching (and being watched) by the resident roadrunner and humming birds. A highlight was at dusk when little bats emerged from the boulders to dance and swoop around the pool area while we watched the sun set. We spent hours combing through the many picture books in the extensive library while listening to music on the speakers in the family room. They were so easy to connect to with bluetooth. We brought all our own food and cooked all our meals there. The kitchen was better equipped than my own and having tea, spices, and many staples like sugar, flour and condiments on hand helped make our meals extra special. Our second night we had steaks cooked on the grill outside which was clean and easy to use. The beds were comfortable and although small the bathroom had all the supplies we needed. We highly recommend a stay at this property!

The property is amazing we arrived toured the location with Dale the owner spent the days at the pool and the night in the spa this is a one in a million location we saw big horn sheep-snakes-rabbits-road runners and very large lizards all from the lounge chairs at the pool over 3 days....

The location of this property was perfect. You are close to the popular West entrance of Joshua Tree National Park as well as the North entrance to the park and this allows you relatively quick access to two different areas. The property was beautiful, it sits right up against the desert boulders and is very quiet, making for wonderfully peaceful and relaxing evenings. Great for stargazing as well. The host provides a very detailed orientation to the property and the home is well stocked with all the essentials.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa dei Fiori and would absolutely recommend it for a unique Joshua Tree experience. The owner was very communicative, friendly, and welcoming. They gave us an exceptionally thorough tour on arrival, walking us through every detail of the property, which made it easy to settle in and fully enjoy our stay.The home itself is full of character, with interesting art throughout that adds personality. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The pool was a major highlight—beautiful, refreshing, and perfectly set among the desert landscape. It was exactly what we were hoping for and a great place to relax and take in the surroundings.The outdoor space is incredible, with rocks, caves to explore, and plenty of room to walk. We saw quail, lizards, kangaroo rats, and even a roadrunner (we were told the owner sometimes has treats for it, which was a fun touch).We brought our dogs and the property worked well for them, though there isn’t a fenced area for off-leash running. That said, we enjoyed walking them around the grounds.Overall, a peaceful, memorable stay with a great host—we would definitely come back.

Dale was an absolute pleasure. He provided a lots of great details about the property when we arrived. The pool was amazing and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfy.
