"W hi at an incredible surprise when we checked in. So much greater than the pics The History of the place, and all the amenities. The room was spectacular looking over the park and canal. So peaceful. Yet it was so close to everything. This was the crown jewel in our visit to Netherlands. We fell in love with Utrecht. I will recommend Karel-V as top place to stay. The staff were so helpful getting us to the hotel when we got lost. Sent a taxi for us. Thankyou so much for such a memorable time."

"Really clean, friendly staff, comfortable room. Restaurant really nice. Couple of slight negatives - wet room would benefit from a shower curtain or similar to try to contain water a bit. Also, allowing residents to take food away from restaurant to rooms, or extending room service menu to contain more options (couldn’t even order fries!)"

"Great location, close to the station and everything you need. Rooms are great, the beds are so comfortable. We were given an upgrade to a room with a balcony and it was perfect. "

"Definitely recommend! I was only there for a night stop but I wish I would have stayed longer. The hotel was very well located, nice and clean. It was also pretty quiet when I was there and I slept very well. And I arrived pretty late because of a train delay but the staff were super nice and understanding."

"Lovely hotel in quieter part of town but still close to amenities. Great view over road to Town Hall and only short, tree-lined walk to Slot. Staff really friendly and helpful, food in restaurant and for breakfast is good quality and great range of drinks available in the bar. Our only slight criticsm was the noise level in the room at night - we were on the top floor and there is a constant humming of equipment (don't think it was the heating) and the guttering on the roof was quite noisy when it rained. This obviously isn't the fault of the hotel and might not be possible to rectify, although the receptionist did say they would check the drainage on the roof when we mentioned it."
