"The house was very clean except for the carpets. There was a lot of room for our group. The rooms were large and adequately furnished. The kitchen utensils and cookware was a bit sparse. The rent was very reasonable, but I would rather pay a bit more and not have to “rent” towels or supply additional toilet paper or buy dish soap. "

"First, the lake view is nowhere to be seen from the cottage. Further, the wi-fi never worked, and the UK to US electricity converter was fried. Aside from that, the cottage was clean and comfortable, in a bird-filled, idyllic environment."

"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. "Just home from a beautiful stay at Bog Bay. The house is lovely, large and has everything you could imagine. Frank was very helpful. Kitchen is well equipped and we really enjoyed the outside seating area. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved that each bedroom had an ensuite bathroom. We loved the quiet of the countryside but also being close enough to walk to Oughterard which we did several times a day. This truly is a perfect location, close to the city as well as near enough...
