"The listing said there were two bathrooms in unit 1, but there was only one. No big deal. The unit itself is gorgeous, and the yard and neighborhood is relaxing and quiet. I loved the office and the chair was super comfortable. Not sure how the thermostat was supposed to work and it was HOT in there as it was 95 in Portland that day. But the fan in the closet was a nice touch. It made sleeping bearable. I’ll totally stay here again if I can when I’m in Portland next."

"With a family, it is always convenient to have multiple bathrooms. The bedrooms are big. Master bedroom has a king size bed. All beds were very comfortable. Will definitely come back. Host is very understanding! Kitchen was stocked with all necessary pots, pans, cutlery, cups, mugs. A good residential neighborhood. Quiet & close to wherever we went. "The Fire house was such a fun, interesting and relaxing place to stay! Not only was the place full of character and charm, it was equally comfortable and welcoming. The place is much bigger than I anticipated when seeing it online. I was so impressed with the history and the decorations really help round out the story. "Overall this was a very nice place but the one problem was the bed. It was way too soft and after 3 nights I had to put couch cushions on the floor to sleep the last 2 nights. My sore back recovered then but sleeping in my clothes on the floor was not part of the deal."

"As "young"seniors (!), we're picky about beds, and all 4 of us agreed the beds were great! We also were stuneed at the beauty of George Fox University (across the street) with its magnificent trees, stunning truss bridge over a gorge, and beautiful landscaping throughout. A perfect place for morning and evening walks. Hot tub easy to use, large (easily fit the 4 of us) and all very clean!"

"Boutique hotel near a streetcar stop. Clean room with full kitchen and den area. Extremely comfortable bed. The decor is funky but fun. Due to Portland being in the news so much, I googled “safe place to stay in Portland” and I felt safe here although they did warn us not to leave anything visible in our car. "
