"We really enjoyed our stay at Cockleshell, the owner Sue was most welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Parked right behind the apartment. Our dog Bertie loved the garden. Porthtowan is so quiet just as we like it, the beach is a very short walk, can recommend the BlueBar, unfortunately the Beach Bar was closed due to fire damage but will be reopened by Christmas."

Beach Cottage with amazing beach and sea views

"Very large property located on top of a hill with a lovely view, the large kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed, tea, coffee etc and milk in the fridge,beds comfy, large bathrooms liked the little touches eg soap in bathrooms, wul and cloths and t towels, the only problem we found was getting to the property the drive down to the property has a uneven road, potholes etc and with a low car wasn't ideal, also we booked the property as we wanted to be in walking distance to the blue bar, was told there was a path down to it, but it was only a small narrow path through some brambles which is ok going down but at night pitch black so can't walk back up, but saying all of that we would definitely stay again, thank you for letting us stay"

"Lovely and clean and very family friendly with a massive fridge/freezer which is a rare thing in many big houses Lots of mugs, glasses, cutlery, dishes and pans for cooking"
Rural Barn Conversion

"A wonderful place away from all the modern noise, we had a lovely week in Cornwall and the barn was a perfect base for our days out .The whole place is perfect, the living space is comfortable and we loved the large sofa .I had several lazy baths which were a treat and the shower was lovely too.The bed was very comfortable and combined with the peace and quiet we both slept very well.All in all a lovely experience and would love to go back sometime."

"Great little Airstream caravan, very clean and tidy, and well equipped. Plenty of room to park next to it. Acres of space outside to hang wetsuits etc. Steve and Emma were very friendly and checking in and out couldn't be easier. Excellent "

"Just returned from a three night stay, everything was as great as it could be, helpful friendly people, nothing was too much trouble. Our only criticism is their sister hotel could do with some staff training, service was as good as being at fawlty towers. However idle rocks was perfect !!"
