Being from the City, I found Troy a bit too industrial. Since this was a short trip and it was cold, we didn’t get to explore too much outside the hotel and college campuses visited.

"Beautiful facility overlooking the river. Outside veranda was wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. The only downside? Be aware that the Bistro "restaurant" is a counter where you will place your order and walk away with your sandwich or salad in a paper bag."

Long weekend stay
"It fit our needs perfectly....a place to sleep, shower, make coffee and watch some TV at the end of our day. Our trip was built around seeing family in the area. We did not need outdoor space or fancy accommodations. It was clean and comfortable!!"

Downtown Troy is a wonderful experience with restaurants and other activities. The Hotel is is within walking distance of these activities.

The hotel is nice but the several blocks around it are a little rundown with vacant old buildings etc. The area gets nicer close to the Troy music Hall.
