"We had a really lovely stay for 2 nights at Rothay Garden. We booked dinner on the first night which was high quality. The views over the garden from the restaurant were really relaxing. We booked a luxury room which was really clean and spacious and had a terrace."

"Perfect place to switch off. The food was excellent, not a huge menu to choose from but there was something for everyone. Prices seemed high at first glance, but I can assure you that you definitely get what you pay for. really good. The homemade sourdough bread!!!! amazing, would return just for that. (honestly it is something else) The staff really make this place wonderful. Very attentive and friendly. The room was really nice, really clean and comfortable. The SPA, this was really wonderful, the treatments were exceptional, and the facilities were amazing. Location was great, we walked into Ambleside on the opposite side of the lake and caught the bus back (559) to the hotel after some shopping and a shandy. "

"Best value accommodation, even cheaper than a Youth Hostel. Decent sized room, with a desk and everything required for a good nights sleep. All staff, at reception and housekeeping, did their best to make us comfortable and at home. Would love to return one day!"

"Excellent location that is central to most attractions. Building was under renovation but it didn’t cause us any inconvenience. Free upgrade was very welcome and staff are friendly and efficient. The only downside to our stay in this wonderful hotel was the breakfast given most of the cooked food was Luke warm to cold."
