"Overall it was a nice stay, started off on a bit of a sour note, place had not been cleaned, dirty towels and laundry were stacked up waiting to be done. Not what we wanted to deal with after a 7 hour drive. Cottage has a good location with great lake views and sunsets, offers plenty of room and is well stocked (not always the case with VRBO's). Easy to find and close enough to some of the other gems of the Eastern UP. Caution to anyone bringing a boat, water depth was about 10 inches at the end...

"My family and I book a week long stay in the UP every year, we usually pick a new area to explore. This year's vacation was very disappointing. The bugs were absolutely awful, and trust me I know the UP has bugs, but it was to the point of we couldn't even be outside even with bug spray on. I wish the owners would spray/fog regularly to help with this. Also the paddle boat and canoe were both dirty with bugs and bird poop to the point of us have to clean before use, we left the canoe alone after...

"My family loved the cabin. We spent Friday on the island then all the rainy day Saturday in the cabin. The kids loved the beds and all the games. The mosquitos were insane but was a great time. Definitely will book again"
