"Hi! I came too early for check inreturned after sightseeing and was sent to a room twist and turns which took a long time to go on the 7 th floor ! I had to take like 10 minutes just to wait for elevator and go to the room The bathroom was like it was ready to crumble flimsy attachment very noisy and unstable walk! The shower hose fell many times loudly as I slept ! The bed had a piece under sheet ridiculous mattress protector which felt like anincontinent pad for the handicapped or a nursing home patient! The toilet makes a lot of noise and air conditioning too! Very uncomfortable ! As I return at night the male staff look like I am trespassing! I got to show the key! They did not greet me cheerily and say how can I help you? The food in the breakfast I was not keen on ! I barely filled my stomach! I had to go out searching to get a better breakfast after I paid for the hotel breakfastI will not stay with this company hotel again and pictures was misleading on the website! "

"We got an early check in which was fantastic for us. Check in staff very friendly and also the egg station chef was friendly. The room was clean and adequate. The Hotel itself was also clean and in a great location for visiting the new town and old town. Only 1 thing Negative to mention that didn't personally effect us as we were up early and ready to go for Breakfast. Currently there is some kind of building work or maintenance going on. They started what sounded like a pavement cutter at around 6:30AM. I'm sure they just did it for a laugh between themselves. Anyhow like I say it didn't effect us as we were ready and getting dressed and packing. Just be aware of this if your booking"

"The whole facility was very clean and well kept. The kitchenette was useful and a great size. The bathroom was clean, the shower hot and the towels large. The bed was comfortable for a hotel bed. The curtains were black out and did their job well. It was nice to be able to open the window in our room for fresh air. There was always someone at the front desk even when we checked out to catch our flight at 2am. Every employee we encountered was very friendly and helpful."

"I've stayed in hostels all over the world and I can't fault this one - it's clean, spacious, well-organised, goes above and beyond a standard hostel, as it has a cafe/restaurant and organises social events via. a WhatsApp group. It also has a pod style layout, which ensures beds are sectioned off with curtains and have their own lights and charge points. Highly recommend!"

"My daughter and I spent 2 nights at the Scotsman. It is a lovely hotel very close to the Royal Mile and just over the bridge from the train station. A great location. The hotel is beautiful and iconic. The carpets in the hallway seemed a bit worn, but our room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was helpful, and the hotel had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. "
