Sunset Vista - Footsteps to the Beach & Pier!

New lower rate discounted $100 off per night makes this large, ocean view home with 4 beds just steps from the beach one of the best values in downtown. Sleeps 6 adults or up to 8 with two children 12 and under w/ 3 bedrooms plus a den & 3 bathrooms. Boasting both ocean & bay views of Trinidad Harbor and State Beach, this custom, contemporary home has vaulted ceilings, amazing artwork, and comfortable furnishings throughout. It is the perfect getaway for a large family gathering, 3 couples or a group of friends. This home is located in downtown Trinidad, and has the convenience of being located within a block to beaches and great Trinidad hiking trails.

Enter on lower level which has one bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom with shower. The upstairs includes living and dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, a sun-room w/ a Queen futon bed and two more bathrooms. The upstairs living/dining room offers an open floor plan that makes for easy entertainment. Cozy up by the gas fireplace while sitting inside watching the seascape all around or watch a movie on the large flat-screen T.V. Grill dinner on the propane barbecue and enjoy cocktails on the deck. Watch the sunset over the ocean while dining outside at the bistro table and chairs. The main suite offers a king bed, private balcony and main bathroom with shower and large bathtub. All of the bedrooms and sun-room have ocean views. The 3rd bathroom is just across the hall from these bedrooms and has a great walk-in shower. Sunset Vista is filled with beautiful photographic art taken from around the world. Radiant floor heating keeps this house comfortably warm. Sunset Vista is only 500 feet from Trinidad Harbor, pier and beach. This is a "no shoe" house which keeps it in pristine condition. Onsite parking available for up to 4 vehicles.

Important Notes:

** Guest reserving home must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking.

** Upon completion of booking reservation guests will be required to sign a rental agreement agreeing to Trinidad Retreats rules and regulations.

** Sorry but this is not a pet friendly home, no exceptions.

We had a great visit to Sunset Vista. It was a great house for a group. We really enjoyed siting on the deck looking at the ocean view. Trinidad was also a great little town. Great time!

Our stay at this beachfront home in Trinidad, CA, was absolutely wonderful. The house itself is beautiful—spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully maintained. The layout made it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the serene surroundings, and every room felt comfortable and welcoming.The location is simply unbeatable. Being right on the beach meant we could take in the stunning ocean views from sunrise to sunset, with the sound of the waves as a constant, peaceful backdrop. It truly felt like a private slice of paradise.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would happily return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing coastal getaway.

Wonderful time

The house was perfect for our needs. We were in Trinidad for our son’s wedding and we had family events every day. We were really busy but it worked out great. Ryan and the staff at Trinidad Retreats couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating.

Amazing location!

The house is located on a beautiful hill with the most amazing views of the ocean. Wonderful access to walking paths and the beach. The house was very clean, and cozy. There are lots of stairs so if you have any mobility issues this may be an issue. The only negative was the bed located on the first floor was a bit lumpy - it may be time to replace it.

Spring Break

Beautiful, relaxing in perfect location wuth phenomenal views

Love the amenities, the views are unsurpassed, great outdoor deck areas facing the ocean, supreme location awesome showers, good towels, lots of light, well maintained and super speedy replies to questions we had. Would have liked hangers, fans and a place to sit outside in front of house, as the beachside if the house is a busy street and if you have windows open, you hear cars until 10 pm, as on the west side of house faces the only street to Trinidad State Beach, which us pipular. But close the windows, no problem, which is why fans would be helpful. Would we stay again? Yes.

Trinidad stay

Everything great except 2 things: 1) only 4 coffee cups for 6 people - definitely not enough. 2) if you want guests to take shoes off at entrance, you should think about removing that table in hall and put a seat bench with storage beneath to make it easier to take off and put on shoes and a place to store them to keep entrance looking good!

Lovely, large home with amazing view

The home was clean and very comfortable. The view was beautiful. We were close to hiking, beaches and restaurants. There was plenty of space to spread out, a cozy fireplace, books and games.

Winter Trinidad Trip

Overall, we had a great experience. You were very responsive when we had questions about how to operate the fireplace and you responded quickly when the smoke detector needed a new battery. More coffee mugs are needed in the kitchen and if this place were mine, I would get rid of the tired wicker furniture in the master bedroom. The recliner in the living room has a handle sticking out from the cushion that caught a couple of us by surprise. The ocean views are wonderful and the location in town was great!

Can't beat the views!

This home we would love to book again. The views were spectacular, you could see the ocean out of every single window in the house. We stayed w our kids and mother in law, the home was plenty large. There is a room and bath on a separate floor that gave my MIL privacy. The home was well stocked and easily walkable to the beach and town.

Great location and lots of space

Great location and house was a good size. Had all the necessities but was missing some items that would have made the stay a bit easier (beach towels, hampers, hangers, kid friendly serve wear, Tupperware, various kitchen items…) Overall a great place to stay. Thank you!

Great location, Decent amenities

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood with amazing, almost 180 degree, views of the water. Family had a great time. Some feedback: for the rate they are asking per night, it would have been nice to be able to check in before 4PM and not have to check out at 10AM without making a special request. The bushes need to be trimmed down as they almost completely block the ocean view from the middle bedroom. I would have also expected there to be newer/nicer cookware and utensils. Also, the lower bathroom could be upgraded. As others have mentioned, the carpet and hardwood flooring need a deep cleaning. Last, but not least, I don't remember the listing mentioning that part of the house was used as a separate live-in residence and that anyone from that residence had access into the rest of the house. Overall, a very nice time, but for the price, I was expecting higher standards. This could be a spectacular rental with just a little effort. Thanks again.

Trinidad stay

We recently stayed in Trinidad and absolutely loved the house and the area! The house is comfortable and the views are beautiful. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the sunsets. The house is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you would need to cook. We did notice several things that should be addressed to make the house even better (and have been noted in other’s reviews). There are very dark stains on the stairs just as you enter the house. This is something that can easily be taken care of but is very noticeable every time you go up the stairs. Since this is the first thing anyone sees, this really should be taken care of to make a better impression. The floors in the kitchen are very marked up, which we thought was interesting since you aren’t supposed to wear shoes in the house to keep things in pristine condition. These are only suggestions as our stay was absolutely fantastic and I would not hesitate to go there again or recommend this house to any of my friends. Thank you for a fantastic vacation spot. One other note is that the master bathroom does not have a shower so you’ll have to use another bathroom to shower.

Great location. Well appointed house

Pictures of the house are accurate. The house is comfortable. Kitchen has adequate cooking supplies and dishes. There is one bedroom on the lower level (we only needed 3-bedrooms so we opted not to use the lower level, as it felt damp on that level). The upper level had a2-bedrooms and a den with a futon. Personally I’d have preferred the futon to be a real bed. The carpet on the stairs was stained, which could easily be addressed, and the recliner chair was broken; otherwise the house was in great shape. The location is perfect. Trinidad is a lovely little town with several restaurants in walking distance. The beach is steps away and the views from the house were outstanding. It’s an easy drive to several State Parks and the National Redwood Forest.
