"The hotel and staff were generally excellent. However, the hotel had corporate events on during our stay. This meant that some of the hotel’s facilities were either not available to us, or too busy, including restaurants and pub. This would not have been a problem for us had there been any warning or notice to the hotel’s other guests. There was no such notification and as a result we weren’t able to plan around this and had to eat out "

I also enjoyed eating at the Caper Grill restaurant, and the pool area was beautiful to look at in my opinion. Also I had a treatment in the Spalato spa which was great. Only small thing was that my room did not have a fridge - it looked as if the fridge had been removed from the cabinet. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. "

"We have stayed at Kastel 1700 before. Its location is amazing right on the Riva with good sea views. The staff are extremely helpful, kind and friendly and speak very good English. It is a comfortable hotel, with all modern facilities built into the walls of the old city around Diocletian's Palace. The breakfast is also very good. I would recommend Kastel 1700."
