"My fiance and I, along with one of our friends stayed here for Gatornationals and cannot say enough good about this place! Don’t let its size fool you, everything is high quality! The top bed was super-comfy and the linens were amazing. Like, softer and nicer than some high-end hotels. Our very tall, large friend slept on the sofa-converted-to-bed and said it was very comfortable; something he didn’t expect at all given it wasn’t a “true” bed. "We had a nice stay overall and tried to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenic surroundings. The canoe experience was definitely a highlight—we really enjoyed paddling down the river and taking in the peaceful nature around us. That said, there were a few things that could be improved. The directions provided through Expedia were inaccurate, and Google Maps led us to the wrong place entirely, which made getting there quite frustrating. "Such a fantastic place for peace and quiet. Location is well maintained and spacious outside, cozy and comfortable inside. Local springs in the area should be added to your things to do list. Crystal River is just shy of an hour away, an easy drive and worth the trip during manatee season. Would recommend this cottage as an excellent "home base"!"
