Tintagel: towards Trecarne Farm. The valley above Backways Cove turns south east below Trebarwith hamlet. Trecarne Farm, which had waterpower in the nineteenth century, is on the right, situated below the waste heaps of a quarry on Treligga Downs
From Upton to Trecarne Farm Upton (behind photographer) is a farm converted to holiday cottages and also performs civil marriages. Trecarne Farm (centre) still has its dairy herd and its road runs in from the left along a stream at the bottom of the wooded valley. These farms are south of Trebarwith Strand and in Tintagel parish.
Footpath at Downhouse New stiles have been put in here leading down to Upton. In the far distance Port Quin Bay and The Rumps.
