"I would class this hotel as ‘olde worlde’….. So anyone wanting modern it probably isn’t for you. Lots of interesting passages and stairs, and flagstone floors add to the atmosphere. Shower and bathroom very clean, TV, excellant, tea and coffee available in rooms. Breakfast ok, I wouldn’t say outstanding. Rather solid scrambled egg, bacon had obviously been cooked a little while and was tough. Coffee, brought in a jug was always lukewarm warm by the time I got to it! Evening menu very restricted., so I only had two dinners out of four. The staff were pleasant, but seemed a bit disorganised on occasions. I wouldn’t stay again, despite it being very easy to access Glorious Trebarwith Strand."

"The view and setting really made the trip and the staff were so lovely, kind and helpful! Watching the sunset each evening outside on the rocks was glorious. The complementary breakfast was really great, fresh baked croissants and a list of hot options. The rooms were clean and basic but just want was needed really. The location was fantastic for some great walks and sightseeing. I really enjoyed our 2 nights there and would go back."

"We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The cream tea on arrival was much appreciated and it was lovely to be able to see the sea from every room. The cottage was a great base for us to walk sections of the SWCP between Bude and Rock. Having the washer, dyer and dishwasher proved to be really useful. The only minor issue was that we thought the mattress in the main bedroom was too soft for our liking, so we used the the single beds in the second room instead. The food from local chippy was very enjoyable as well."
