"Stayed in this apartment hotel for 2 nights in Apr23. We spoilt the hair dryer before we checked out, but could not inform the office as we checked out very early in the morning and the office was closed. The next day, I received an email informing us that they charged CHF500 to my credit card for spoiling the hair dryer and the TV. This is ridiculous. Their email mentioned that they gave us a perfectly working TV before we checked in. How can they accuse us for spoiling the TV a few minutes...

"This place is really nice - we had a great four nights here, and were very lucky with the weather as it rained lots just before we arrived (it is "mountain weather" so you get what you get). We arrived "out of hours" but this had been prearranged so there is a safe with pin codes which was easy enough to use and we got our key and instructions very quickly. "Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...

"The location of the property is perfect if you want to be in the city centre. We could not be more satisfied with the location and the apartment itself. Well decorated with great space and the views were amazing. We were between staying in Bellagio or Como and so happy we made the decision with Como. We would stay in this apartment again for sure! However, we were not aware of such a busy road outside the entrance and with small children in toe a bit problematic to watch in the narrow street. "Laura was a great host. The apartment is quite a challenge to find for the first time , she was on hand to guide us . She also spent a lot of time giving us tourist ideas of where to go and what to see , and with WhatsApp she was always on hand to answer questions. "The location is very good. A block from the shoreline, a lot of restaurants to choose from; a block from a small supermarket. The cable car station is also 5 min walk; town square is 15 min walk. "The apartment was perfect for my daughter and I. It’s centrally located and walkable to everything in Como. Only a 12 minute walk to the central station. A good grocery store just down the street. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. The staff were very helpful and friendly. "
