"Fabulous stay at the Montenotte in Cork. Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were beautifully appointed, with really fun and chic decor; we had lovely views over the city of Cork and environs. Excellent breakfast included and tasty in-house gin for late night cocktails. Easy walk down the hill into city center of Cork and easy to get back to the hotel."

"Much like the puffin, who can remain perfectly content in a little crevice on a cliff, no matter the weather or tides, this little cottage offers more than solace and peace, regardless the weather outside. From booking, to the day of check out, we only had joy. The only hard part was checking out, only because all good things have to come to an end, sadly...This place offers everything you will need for a week or weekend break away. The area lends itself to activities that would suit all ages and ranges from walking distance to a quick drive.There are also a good selection of restaurants and pubs nearby, but once again it's fully kitted for self service for a family.We can't wait to book our next visit! "

"I appreciated the history of the hotel and even the cemetery in the back. The manager was very friendly and provided us with background information about the hotel. However, the elevator was slow, and the parking was tight. We ended up parking at another location, but we had to pay each time we wanted to retrieve our car. The hotel was within walking distance to Shandon Bells & Tower at St. Anne's Church, and it was an easy walk across the bridge to downtown."

"My husband and I a wonderful time visiting Cork city and staying at the conveniently located Issacs Hotel near the river and all the shopping and dining at our doorstep. The hotel is a remodel of a historic property with touches of antiquity instead of the usual boring hotel box. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, even allowing us to check in a bit earlier when they were full to capacity on a Saturday night before Easter Sunday. The bar and restaurant is lively attracting locals as well as tourists but I didn’t feel it was excessively noisy in our room and the party disbanded at an appropriate time to get a good nights rest. We thought the breakfast buffet was above average for its type and they brought out an enormous pot of coffee right away. Thanks. We’d definitely return if we’re in the area again."

"Loved this place! The rooms were not exciting but clean, quiet, and comfortable. The best parts are the location and communal areas. Great lobby, bar, restaurant areas that were comfortable and inviting to hang out with our family. Beautiful outdoor area with heating to enjoy a drink and play card games. Short walk to the downtown area for shopping and eating. We loved Cork! Parking is a bit of a nightmare but it all worked out."
