We loved our stay during Fall Break. This was our first time staying in Townsend and we will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your place. It is definitely one of a kind and we are already talking about when our next trip will be! Thank you for everything.
Amazing property! Perfectly clean. In great condition. Comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen was well stocked. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. We had a multi-generational family there. Plenty of space for everyone from the baby and kids to the college student to the parents and grandparents. But also great space for family time - meals, card games, playing in the creek, relaxing on the porch. It was an amazing vacation space. Thank you!!
We decided to visit Great Smoky Mountain National Park to hike through the lush forests that I’ve always heard about. We had an amazing experience! The cabin was gorgeous, spacious and immaculate. We had our kids plus one guest (ages 9-22yrs.) and everyone had their own space plus plenty to do outside. All loved searching for salamanders and swinging over the creek. We were in the park every day and loved being able to relax and share a meal after a long day of hiking. The highlight of our stay was the family of bears that came right up to the front porch! Communication with host was easy and so helpful with suggestions. I highly recommend the cabin and would definitely stay again.
It was so easy to check in, the house was clean and ready, even a starter kit. The house was perfect great seating everywhere for all 8 of us, At the dining table, the living room, the deck, the fire pit! All TVs were set up for streaming, the projector out on the screened in deck was great and fun for the kids for movie nights! The fire pit was so nice next to the stream with little stump tables with lights! They even had wood for us to burn which was a nice bonus! It was close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which was nice to explore then come back. The Carriage House restaurant was close and had amazing French toast! The National Forest was also close and nice for drives and hikes! It was a perfect location for our visit to TN and they have little things throughout the house and outside that are so nice, a great place to stay with family and friends! Thank you!
My wife’s family stayed for a week in the Smokies. Saw a bear first morning in the backyard. Very clean. We had a plumbing issue while we were there owner responded very quickly. Would recommend it to anyone.
We booked 3 cabins for our destination wedding, and this was our favorite one. The kids loved playing the creek, the adults loved having coffee on the porch, and everyone loved actually enjoying nature firsthand. This was a great cabin with great owners; I hope to stay again someday!
This is the cleanest rental I have stayed in, including Four Seasons resorts. Thank you for opening up this beautiful, welcoming, and well equipped home for us to enjoy! I brought 2 air fryers and a drip coffee machine to make this house even more perfect. Very comfortable Murphy bed downstairs in the private room was extra special. You did cost me money, with having to purchase a few of your creek swings for home, because we enjoyed for countless hours at your home. We were so lucky to have black bears visiting almost nightly even if we only spotted one on our first night trying to get our charcoal :) We will be back!!! Thanks again for your property.
This cabin was absolutely perfect, we have been going to the Smoky Mountains every year since our honeymoon 30 years ago, and have always stayed at different cabins within a particular resort in the Pigeon Forge/Seveirville area, but we wanted a bit of a change this year and decided to book this cabin in Townsend instead. BEST DECISION EVER!! The cabin was so clean and beautiful and the property was amazing, if I could give this more than a 5-Star rating, I would. Thank you to the hosts for offering up their cabin for others to experience, we would definitely love to return in the future!! I would have done a pro’s/con’s list, but we literally have nothing to add to the con’s list, even my teenage son who always finds something to complain about, had nothing negative to say. My daughters loved the swing over the river so much , that they were always pushing us get back to the cabin whenever we headed out for our daily adventures so they could swing more. I could go on and on, but I need to cut this off at some point, so if you are thinking about booking this cabin, DO IT, do not miss out on this perfect vacation destination.
Loved this house. We loved everything about it. The house itself is clean and accommodating with the wilderness decor. The fire pit next to the creek can’t be beat. Swing over the creak was a huge hit for the kids. Also found some Gold I. The creek🙌 Owner is super friendly and quick to answer questions.
Wandering Creek Lodge gave our group of eight women a comfortable, peaceful place to stay during our week in the Smoky Mountains. The screened porch and the wrap around porch were the popular places to hang out and chat, and three bathrooms were a boon with so many people sharing the space. Speaking of which, the showers were great! Perfect water pressure and an abundance of hot water! With the creek and fire pit, this would also be a great place for a family!
This cabin was absolutely fantastic! It had everything that you would want from a cabin. One thing we especially liked was how close it was to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. You had all the things at the Smokies have to offer and you are tucked away in a quiet cabin. we would definitely go back to this specific cabin again.
The house was amazing... the location is superb. The owners have taken excellent care of the home and property and clearly treat it with love. Our family was either in the go seeing the sights or relaxing and enjoying the amazing features of the house. The kids played in the creek, the adults lounged on the balcony. Our teenager acted like a kid again. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. I'm just sad that they're already booked up for next summer.
We were a group of six adults and three children under the age of five and we could not have asked for a better house. The bedrooms were roomy (including the basement one with the Murphy bed), the living room was comfy, and the porch was excellent! The kids loved the creek and the swing. We did a bunch of cooking and the kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. There was a slight mishap that was our fault and the owner got a handyman out to the house in under an hour. My only concern about rating this house so highly is that it might not be available next year when we visit again.
We absolutely loved this cabin. Great for families. Lindsay was wonderful and so easy to get ahold of if we had any questions. The place is beautiful, beds are comfy, plenty of room and the creek just tops it all off.
The creek was perfect for our little boys. The pictures of the cabin don’t do it justice it is absolutely beautiful. The location was great if you want to be secluded.
I can’t express enough how much my family and I loved and enjoyed our stay here. The house was beautiful and other than groceries, it had everything we needed. We loved the wraparound porch, the projector room and the comfy beds! This house has it all and we will definitely be back!! The owner was very attentive and checked in with us several times to make sure we didn’t need anything. First class service that made our vacation that much better!!
