"Amazing property - clean, comfortable and great host"

"The property is located in a small neighborhood below Beram just outside Pazin. Its central location provides easy access to hill towns and seaside areas of Istria as well as day trips to explore Slovenia and Trieste. The property manager lives in the neighborhood and always immediately responded to our questions or assistance requests. We arrived mid-September just as the weather became unseasonably cold. As a result, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very chilly as they are not heated. The property description should state that only the common areas are heated & cooled. While the accommodations are very good we would suggest the following to make renters stay even more comfortable: written instructions for operating kitchen appliances (microwave, stove, dishwasher operation is not self-evident); wifi is weak - install boosters; bedrooms need more clothes hangers in armoires (2 per room insufficient); add clothes hooks in bedrooms particularly in bedroom with only shelves in armour; add towel hooks in bathrooms (1 small hook in each is insufficient); wooden sticks/bars to hold shutters open to prevent banging and closing with the wind. We had numerous wasps in the kitchen - their entry point should be found and closed - the property manager stated that they probably entered when we opened the kitchen door and although we were careful and watched this was not our experience. We hope these suggestions are found to help make an excellent rental even better. "

"We picked the villa primarily because of it’s location- we like to be in the country slightly but within easy reach of visits to towns/ harbours and beaches etc. The villa was perfect for this- you’ll obviously need a car but it was an easy 30-40 minutes drive to the coastal towns of Pore, Rovinj and Pula. There is a little cafe/ bar and shop 2 mins drive away and big shops and facilities 5 mins away. So it was perfectly located for exploring the beautiful Istrian peninsula. A highlight for us was how friendly and thoughtful the hosts were- they were always attentive to messages and during our stay delivered homemade/ homegrown local produce which was lovely to try! The villa itself is huge - as the photos show, with plenty of space for our family. It has been well equipped and is immaculate. There is so much outside space- with options to eat outside/ relax on balconies or in the garden. The kitchen is modern with everything you could want but we cooked mainly on the outside BBQ which was lovely. "

"This was the ideal home to spend a week with five young families. The house layout enabled everyone to have the space they needed and the outdoor eating/sitting/games area is adjacent to the kitchen and overlooks the pool -which was the ideal size, crucially with no sides, so children could be 'left to it', but watched from the dinner table. Super place 40mins or so from the coast, the waterfall in Pazin is well worth a morning visit, as are some of the traditional coastal towns, or just stay put at the villa. There's plenty to do and lots of space to relax. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Leona. The house is large and beautifully appointed. It is equipped superbly and has a fabulous pool. The location is quiet and rural but within easy reach of many of the beaches and beautiful Istrian towns. We recommend highly!"
