We did not go into Avignon on our stay -- we opted to stay in the village and enjoyed the experience very much. Our room had an incredible view of the city from across the river. "The hosts upgraded us from a room to an apartment—it was a complimentary upgrade which allowed us to prepare our own breakfast and dinner with food from nearby markets. They gave us wonderful advice on day trips from the property and took a genuine interest in our day trips and lives. We will stay here again if we come back to Avignon. If I knew they had a heated swimming pool and hot tub I would have brought a bathing suit."

"This hotel is fantastically situated in the historical center of Avignon- everything is within walking distance. It’s no-frills, but spotless and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable and in the hot weather, the air conditioning worked a charm. The staff was lovely, welcoming us with a gift tote and a very sweet hand-written welcome note. Breakfast was quite good. Great value for money, absolutely no complaints from us."

"We were offered an upgrade to stay on the second floor which is the third floor if you are an American. Beware if you have large suitcases, as there are no elevators. We had to practically empty our suitcase to get the contents up the stairs. There is a washing machine/dryer combo in the community kitchen, but it takes hours to wash and dry your clothes.
