"Staff very attentive and helpful. That goes for the staff at the front desk, the porters and doormen/women, the spa staff, housecleaning, and the restaurant staff in the hotel. We interacted with all of them - asking questions and getting help beyond the normal scope of their job duties. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. We also ate supper on a Saturday night at the hotel restaurant and they had live entertainment -a young woman singer and another woman accompanying her on the guitar. They were surprisingly good -better than what I would expect at a hotel restaurant in the U.S.! When researching hotels in Taipei online, we had trouble telling from photos if the rooms had showers or not. Our room at the Miramar Garden had a unique bathroom design wherein there was a full bath and then the shower head and handheld shower wand was outside the bath - but access to both was accomplished by opening one glass door. Essentially you were standing right BESIDE the bathtub, not IN it, as you showered. Warning: this hotel’s location is NOT in an area with lots of nearby dining options. We walked a few blocks circling the hotel but ended up back at the hotel restaurant because we weren’t in the mood for the few food choices we found. Partly our own fault. We started our search thinking we wanted a light sandwich meal then ended up getting hungrier as we walked and ultimately ate a complete steak dinner at the hotel!"

"This hotel was wonderful. We had an issue with the air conditioning and they sent an electrician immediately and he replaced the device causing the issue. Very pleased with their responsiveness and the solution. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Unfortunately, it was raining daily during our 5 days stay and we didn’t have a chance to use the pool. Gym and jacuzzi are good enough for short use. However, I find the breakfast is a bit boring after the 3rd day…… we ent out for local bites instead. Apart from that we did enjoy our stay even though it didn’t wowed us."

"A beautiful, modern property in an oceanfront setting. Many of the rooms offer fantastic ocean views, and the hotel is conveniently close to plenty of great local seafood restaurants. Other than that, there is nothing much nearby (meaning no convenience stores, snack places, etc...). The front desk, pool, and facilities teams were warm and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant and dining staff were polite, though service felt slightly below standard for a 4-star-plus property. The breakfast buffet, which was super busy and packed with people, was decent and covered the basics, even if nothing particularly stood out. A thoughtful highlight is the abundant lounge seating across the property, making it comfortable to relax and wait if you arrive well before check-in time."
