"We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was very calm. Staff was very friendly and honest about parking being free nearby during weekend and didn’t try to sell a space in their garage. The suite was beautiful and family friendly. A bit worn in places but cleaning was spotless and the first impression was well… impressive! Only minus was the lack of drapes for the lower window in the middle of the suite as the neighbours across the street could easily see us at night and our kids like to run around...

"I thought everything in the room was perfect. I have been in many other "kitchenette-type" hotel rooms that were missing the kitchen items you need. Here it feels like the owner has thought through everything. My room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Having the woods nearby was great for walking the two small dogs I travelled with. Very satisfied!"

"We stayed at the hostel. It worked well for us for two days visit in Astrid Lindgrens world. Not fancy in any way, but everything worked. Shared areas a bit crowded, but then again we didn’t hang out inside. The outdoor areas are great. For small fees you can enter pool or play mini golf. We enjoyed both offers. "The setting surrounded by water was spectacular. The incredible attention to detail in the room amenities and provisions is really impressive! The restaurant quality and Orrefors crystal custom wine glasses are beautiful! The staff is great! We will definitely return!!!"

"The hotel itself only has 13 rooms, I think. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk is only staffed a couple of hours during the day, so make sure you get the code to enter the hotel. I had just missed the summer 'peak', so there were only 2 restaurants open within easy walking distance. I only went to the Montecristo Restaurant. The food was good and the staff very friendly. My Visa card wouldn't work when I went to pay, so we worked it out in US dollars. Public transportation is limited and confusing, especially if you don't speak Swedish. But the Troll Hike was a LOT of fun. And I enjoyed the peace and quiet for a couple of days."
